As a wildlife enthusiast, I have watched in dismay as nature has been put to extreme pressure to simply survive on this once green and precious land. 

When I was young, I embraced nature - from the flying ants in my garden to the wonderful wildflower meadows of a Wiltshire countryside and the beautiful songs of skylarks. Nature was everywhere. 

We have sleep-walked knowingly into a state of decline where Britain is one of the most nature depleted countries in the world. This is not a statistic I am proud of. 

Now, it is so depleted that we have to act. 

This wildlife documentary will reveal the joy and many wonders of the natural world here in Britain. I shine the light of truth on what we can do to make nature survive and thrive and how we must restore and harmonise our natural environment. 

We need to re-engage with nature. This is a priority. We need to remember that we are a part of it and that without nature, and the soil beneath our feet, our way of life will be at risk.
